Feraba Mohammadi, 15, was a shy, introvert, and uncommunicative girl before becoming a member at the Rahila Foundation. With the encouragement of her friends and Rahila Foundation’s Library Officer, Feraba is now a different person. She takes an active part in activities organized at the Library, regularly borrows books to read, and has made good friends at the library. Also, in her spare time, Feraba volunteers at the library.
“I love it when I am here,” Feraba says. “Rahila Library is the hub of my extra-curricular activities, with library staff supporting a range of creative approaches to learning and facilitating amazing activities such as story-telling sessions and book discussions. While the Library has helped me realize the value of books and knowledge, its activities have dramatically boosted my self-confidence and public speaking skills.”
